Let us take you on a visual journey through India.

1600's during the times of Shah Jahan, one of the most
famous Mughal kings. It is said that he first laid eyes on his
beautiful bride Mumtaz Mahal at Chandi Chowk. After her
death he built the famous Taj Mahal in memory of her.
During its time Chandi Chowk was a market place for
royalties, today Chandi Chowk is a bustling place of trade
for anything from fruits and vegetables to leather good
and sparkling hand beaded sarees.

Now, run off with your imagination to
Jaipur, and the
Amber Fort. Ride elephants up to the fort like the kings
and queens did in the day. Built up on a hill and hidden in
a valley, this fort is surrounded by a wall similar to that of
the
great wall of China. Envision yourself living during
these times and being part of a grand celebration in the
courtyard of this mighty fortress.

Now turn your attention to the south of India, to the town of
Alleppey. Travel in a house boat on these enchanting
backwaters and enjoy the swaying coconut palms and
paddy fields. Take a glimpse of the village life on the
banks of the river.

Proceed to
Thekkady  to view the spice plantations around
this town. Visit the famed
Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary and
enjoy a cruise on Lake Periyar. During the boat ride, spot
the wildlife like elephants, monkeys, deers and a variety of
birds.

Skip over to
Cochin and visit the Jewish Synagogue built
over 400 years ago containing beautiful Belgian glass
chandeliers and paved with hand-painted tiles from China.
Also see the
Dutch Palace with its wonderful murals
depicting the entire story of the Ramayana. St. Francis
Church, the first European church built in India during the
16th century and the original burial site of Vasco De Gama
should also be on your list. Lastly, don't forget to see the
Chinese fishing nets bordering along Cochin Harbor.
